Shell99's live dealers are trained professionals who conduct game sessions in a studio setting that matches international casino standards. High-quality cameras let you clearly follow every card movement, giving you full confidence that each round is transparent and fair. This is a far cry from standard RNG games that rely solely on computer animation.
On top of that, Shell99 features live statistics displays and road maps directly on the game screen. You can track previous round results to help you make smarter betting decisions — just like seasoned players do at a physical casino.

Baccarat is one of the easiest casino games to learn. The main objective is to predict whether the Banker's or the Player's hand will come closest to a total of 9. You can also bet on a Tie if you think both hands will end up with the same value.
Card values in Baccarat work as follows: numbered cards 2–9 are worth their face value, Aces count as 1, while face cards (King, Queen, Jack) and 10s are worth zero. If the total exceeds 9, only the last digit counts — for example, 7 + 8 = 15, which counts as 5.
| Bet Type | Payout Ratio | House Edge |
|---|---|---|
| Banker | 1:1 (minus 5% commission) | 1.06% |
| Player | 1:1 | 1.24% |
| Tie | 8:1 | 14.36% |
| Banker Pair | 11:1 | 10.36% |
| Player Pair | 11:1 | 10.36% |
Statistically, the Banker carries the lowest house edge at just 1.06%. This makes it the best-odds bet in baccarat. While there is a 5% commission on Banker wins, it still outperforms other bets in the long run.
Avoid betting on Tie too frequently — with a house edge of 14.36%, it's a high-risk choice that works against any long-term strategy.
A practical guide to enhancing your gameplay experience
Wager the same amount every round regardless of previous results. This is the safest approach for managing your bankroll effectively and avoiding heavy losses in a single session.
Double your bet after each win and return to your original stake after a loss or after 3 consecutive wins. This system capitalises on winning streaks to maximise profits while keeping losses to a minimum.
Since Banker holds a statistical advantage, many Shell99 players consistently bet on Banker and only switch when the trend clearly indicates otherwise. A simple yet effective strategy for new players.
Set a win limit (e.g., stop after profiting RM200) and a loss limit (e.g., stop after losing RM100). Sticking to these limits is a key part of smart bankroll management at Shell99.
Make use of the road map feature available at every Shell99 table. The previous round result display can help you identify patterns and make more informed betting decisions.
Avoid chasing losses by drastically increasing your bets. Baccarat is a game of random outcomes, and keeping a clear head is your most valuable asset at any Shell99 table.

Baccarat is no stranger to Malaysia. It has long been a favourite, particularly among those who have visited the physical casino at Genting Highlands. But times have changed. Players no longer need to drive up the hill or sit through traffic just to enjoy a game of baccarat. Shell99 brings it all straight to your phone or computer screen, wherever you are.
What truly sets the baccarat experience at Shell99 apart is our commitment to quality. Our gaming studio is equipped with professionally trained dealers who understand the needs of Asian players, multi-angle cameras for the best possible view of the table, and a transparent card verification system. There is no room for manipulation — every round is recorded and can be reviewed by the player in question.
Shell99 also understands that Malaysian players have their own preferred style of play. This makes the playing experience far more comfortable and meaningful for local players.
On the payments front, Shell99 accepts all the methods Malaysians use every day. Touch 'n Go eWallet for everyday convenience, GrabPay for easy access, DuitNow for instant transfers, and FPX for direct connections to Maybank2u, CIMB Clicks, and other local banks. All transactions are processed in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) — no confusing currency conversion fees.
